Gran Turismo 5 December 4th?

The long anticipated Gran Turismo 5 has been given a release date Hooray!

Unfortunatly is has not been given by Sony, but by a popular French site named "Jeux video" which has claimed for the game to land on the 4th of December. Also there is talk about a PS3 Slim bundle pack!

Uncharted 2 on PSP Go?

We all know that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be arriving shortly for PS3. But what about for PSP Go, Sony's newest edition to the PSP line? As posted by Wikipedia, (Link Here) It most certainly will. We have no indication or clue whether or not this is in fact true, or posted by pranksters. This is only the first part of evidence.

Recently ScrewAttack, the popular gaming website, found a picture a PSP Go with Uncharted 2 playing on it. At the top are words that say, "New screen for unchar....for the......". It is up to you to decide if this is true or bogus. Have fun spreading the news everybody, because I sure hope this is true.

Rumoured Firmware 3.0 Update

Another rumour for Sony to deal with this time it's about there next firmware update, 3.0.

According to VG247 firmware 3.0 will be a major update addressing many issues and giving the PS3 what the users want. So far the following have been put into discussion.

The introduction of a PSN user reputation system.

A grief reporting system allowing users to send annotated screenshots of offensive players to Sony.

Game patches will be able to download in the background.

HDMI audio and digital optical output will be usable at the same time.

I can't comment on these rumours however Sony have talked to IGN and have said the following:

"These rumours are completely untrue, nothing has been announced or confirmed for upcoming PlayStation firmware, and this is just wild speculation, “words from Jennifer Clark, director of SCEA product publicity.

A New Wipeout Game?

Twitter, a site I'm actually starting to like, mainly due to the fact
it contains news, daily on all the latest games, has put forth a rumour.

A recent tweet, from a certain someone called, ButtonMasherNZ, has put
forward rumours of a new Wipeout game, going under the name of Ultimate
Racer. However the person putting the tweet up, wasn't sure whether
the game is a add on, or a full game.

So will this new Wipeout game appear at E3? That I don't know, but I
do know is that there will be a lot of surprises at this year’s event.

160GB PS3!

And you thought that an 80GB Ps3 was a lot! Rumor has it is that Sony is releasing a PS3 on steroids with 160GB attatched. The System so far is rumoured to contain:

* 160GB 2.5 SATA 5400rpm HDD
* CELL Broadband Engine (65nm process) @ 3.2ghz
* PPU x1, SPE x8
* RSX GPU (65nm process) @ 550mhz
* Blu-ray Optical Disc Drive @ 2x
* Memory Card Reader - Memory Stick Duo, Compact Flash, Secure Digital
* 6x USB 2.0 ports
* 2x HDMI 1.3 ports
* 3x Gigabit Ethernet ports
* DUALSHOCK 3 controller

At the moment the system is only confirmed for release in Japan. Information on the release date has not been specified clearly, but it could possibly be in November. We at the studio are not so sure about the rumour, or if Sony really needs to release this, but we will leave this up to you.

Is There A New Driver Coming?

I always loved, and I mean loved Ubisoft’s Driver games, well apart from one. So to hear the news that a new one might me on the way has put me in quite a good mood.

With E3 around the corner Ubisoft has trademarked Driver: Recruit. No official announcement has been made by Ubisoft, however I expect they will very soon.

Driver games have been very mixed in the years, with Driver, the original game being one of the best, followed up by Driver 2; although I didn’t enjoy Driv3r, I lover Driver Parallel lines. I’m hoping this new one, if confirmed, will match up to its former greats.

New Firmware Tomorrow?

Rumours have been flooding in about the all new PS3 Firmware update. Apparently it's out tomorrow. Well theres not much longer to wait as tomorrow is hours away. We'll soon see if this one is fact or fiction.

But what new features will we be expecting to see tomorrow? Well here are a few: The Backup and restore option now also includes videos purchased from PSN store, Internet Search is added to the option menu of each game, Copy/Paste in Internet browser, and attachment size in messages has been increased to 3MB.

Rumours about this update have been on the web for months now and I'm clueless to whats happening. We'll all just have to wait and see. P.S Happy April 1st

A New Browser?

The simple Internet browser we all have on our PS3’s XMB is getting a renovation. It has been continuously updated secretly but everyone soon realizes when the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player gets added. We all knew of Trend Micro the software that lets you have control over what sites can be accessed from the browser. But you will have to pay for this service after the 30th April but only if you want it. And really who pays to keep children away from harmful sites? Maybe they could just include it in something like a new Web Browser. Remember at GDC09 Sony said they would announce something big but could this be it? I hope they do.

MGS5 Annoucement

MGS5 Annoucement

There is to be an MGS5 announcement next month. These rumours have surfaced via an Official Playstation magazine. Konami are set to blow the bomb at this year’s E3 event the magazine states there also continue to say that Kojima is unlikely to be involved as a director, but may still be involved in some way.

Well it's just a rumour but it is from an official source. Apparently it's to be set on the 360 to, if it can handle it.

We all love MGS4 and to hear the news that MGS5 may be coming is a welcome feeling. No details have risen yet but as the magazine staes they will be revealed next month. Let's hope this one’s true.
